OUR PURPOSE

  1. The local church should always show its love for the Lord. Rev 2:4
  2. The church should minister to its own members so that they incite one another to love and good works. Hebrews 10:24
  3. The church is the agency for carrying out the great commission . While witnessing and teaching are done by individuals, these are also functions of the local church. The gospel should be preached in the services of the church so that when unbelievers come in they can hear it. 1 Corinthians 14:24 ..and all the epistles bear testimony to the teaching ministry of the local congregation.
  4. The church is to care for its own who are in need, such as widows and orphans and the poor. James 1:27; 1 Timothy 5:1-16; 2 Corinthians 8-9.
  5. The church is to do good in this world. Galatians 6:10)
  6. The church is to produce mature, stable and holy Christians. This involves discipline in the realm of morals (1 Corinthians 5) and maintenance of purity in doctrine. 2 Timothy 2:16-18)

OUR MISSION

To glorify God by evangelizing the lost for Christ through the preaching of the gospel, personal witnessing and carrying on a vigorous missionary program around the world; by edifying believers through the preaching of the word of God and maintaining a good testimony for Christ through godliness, example and good works and by equipping members for service in the different church ministries.

The Lord's great commission is our mandate, and Christ is our model in translating our vision and reaching for...

OUR GOALS

Church Life. To conduct worship celebrations and church fellowships which both build up believers and attract the spirituality curious, and confused and skeptical.

Community Life. To involve the great majority of the congregation in small group fellowship which become the means to care for and equip the Body, and to reach out and serve the surrounding areas.

Penetration. To equp lay people to grow and mature in Christ-likeness; and live-out kingdom values as they penetrate market place or public sectors of society for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Multiplication: To plant and support the establishment of new churches in the metropolitan area and its vicinity, around the country and the world.

Compassion: To free all church fellowships and members to minister the love of Christ through word and deed, becoming deeply involved in a variety of ways to meet human and social needs in the city.
